PGL Programs

Internationalizing the University's Curriculum

PGL and the University of Florida International Center launched a program to support faculty who wished to add direct linkages via the Internet and videoconferencing to students in other countries. Each year the program celebrates International Day as a university-wide event. A competitive mini-grant program supports the development of collaborative international instructional projects. PGL awarded ten grants to faculty whose projects focused on Latin America. Awards in 2002-2004 included the following faculty:

  • Lyn Branch: Department of Wildlife Conservation and Ecology
  • Christian Cardenas-Lailhacar: College of Engineering
  • Jorge Hernandez: College of Veterinary Medicine
  • Anthony LaGreca: Department of Sociology, Liberal Arts and Sciences
  • Sem Lampotang: Department of Anesthesiology
  • Gillian Lord: Department of Romance Languages
  • Elizabeth Lowe: Center for Latin American Studies
  • Amador Moraga: Biotechnology
  • Roger Natzke: College of Agriculture
  • Rose Pringle: School of Teaching and Learning, College of Education
